Recent Work

I have a lot to share with you, but things have been a bit hectic lately to say the least.  Wedding season has sprung upon us, and we still have quite a few consultations booked for the 2009/2010 season.  I would like to share some amateur pictures with you from our most recent weddings.  Professional pics are coming soon, but in the meantime, here is a sneak peek.

Center of Attention

Trying to come up with something really creative while not blowing your budget is tricky.  That’s why I love this idea of combining your guest favors and your centerpieces all into one.  I don’t think this idea has been given the attention it deserves.  Talk to us about your budget, we would love to source the perfect vase to bring this vision to life for you.  If you already know your wedding date, don’t hesitate to set up a consultation, we are booking up rather quickly.

Upcoming Weddings:- Anna & Andrew

Fate definitely brought these two together… What a wonderful couple both Anna and Andrew are, and I’m having so much fun with the both of them.  Anna and Andrew’s colour scheme is blue, blue and more blue!  Anna wants her bouquet to be filled with anything blue, except roses… So, we’re using blue delphinium, deep purplish blue lisianthus, calla lilies, some gladiolas, mums, and snake grass loops.  A much more blue version of the centerpieces which will be done with white chrysanthemums, blue delphiniums, white lisianthus, blue hydrangea, and some blue filler type flowers.  Anna specifically requested the vase be filled with blue crystalized gel.  The flowergirl will be dropping lavender rose petals on the aisle for a summery romantic touch.  Here is their inspiration board for some more “blue” ideas.

Upcoming Weddings:- Melissa & Nick

Spring has sprung, especially when I think of Melissa & Nick’s wedding.  They are getting married at the end of the month, and have been absolutely wonderful to work with.  Melissa is so bubbly, and her personality shines through in her choice of using spring blooms such as yellow and purple tulips for the centerpieces.  Bouquets will be made of vibrant yellow calla lilies wrapped with snake grass loops for texture.  Melissa’s bouquet will be made with vendela roses and mini ivory calla lilies.  We’ll stud the rose heads with some bling of course, and wrap the handle ballet slipper style with some ivory organza ribbon.  We can’t forget Nick’s boutonniere which will be made with  2 mini calla lilies and wrapped with delicate gold wire loops and black ribbon.  Melissa and Nick are having a wishing tree as their guest book, and it will be done with curly willow, and draped in hanging crystals surrounded by little bud vases filled with purple and yellow tulips of course.  So fresh, and simple.  Here is their inspiration board to give you some visuals.  I love this one!!!

Toot Toot

Here are some pictures from the wedding we did for Kaeti and Frank in February.  I also wanted to share the kind words she wrote about her experience with me for her wedding day.  Her wedding was a lot of fun to work on and Kaeti was an absolutey delight!

“I came across Rainflower Company after having my heart broken by other florists…it seemed that I couldn’t find anyone to click with, and the only person I had found was unable to follow through with what they had discussed with me. After every disappointment, I began to grow increasingly cynical of the whole floral industry when I came across an advertisement for Rainflower Company. I sent off an email, and so it began! My experience with Rainflower Company was the best experience of my entire wedding! Not only was Mirella completely professional and unbelievably creative, I truly felt as though my wedding was as important to her as her own would be. Mirella held my hand through the entire process and brought me one great idea after another! To anyone who will listen, I tell them about my florist and how she truly made my day unforgettable, stress free, and made it look like a million dollars without costing that much! I feel blessed to have had Mirella! She is brilliant, efficient, and more than follows through on all of her promises. She single handedly made my day one that I will never forget!”  Kaeti Hart-Modica Wedding Date, February 28th, 2009.katie-bouquet1
