Michael and Cheryl Athill were our contest winners from last year. You may have seen the blog post and the wonderful entry he made to try and win this contest for his beautiful bride-to-be. If not, here is the post so you can read the heartfelt and really genuine entry Michael made. We were super impressed, and sooo happy with our decision! He was definitely a deserving winner! The prize was $1000 in free flowers from us, Rainflower Company, plus Day of Co ordination ($1,000 value) from In Style Wedding Planners. Here are a few pics from their very special day. They all looked super gorg, and Cheryl’s dress was really stunning!

The bride, Cheryl had mango calla lilies in her bouquet, with snake grass loops and a collar of folded banana leaves around it. It was really beautiful, and picked up the burnt orange colour of the bridesmaids dresses. The girls had bouquets of vendella roses with monkey grass loops, and ivory satin ribbon. Simple, clean and elegant.

The reception was held at The Paramount, in Vaughn. The venue looked amazing and the lighting was phenomenal- The room definitely had major impact! Here is their super sweet testimonial… I really loved working with these two- an amazing reminder of why I love my job and of making peoples’ dream weddings uniquely their own!

“Impeccable attention to detail, the ability to listen and understand her clients needs, and over all a beautiful person, Mirella is the absolute best.
Let me start off by stating that this is the groom writing this. I was so impressed by the detail and passion that Mirella placed into making our day OUR day - not a strangers interpretation of what our day should be - that I felt obligated to do a write up.
Mirella gets you what you want. Bottom line. My wife brought pictures and Mirella said no problem but I can do it better. That sums up her personality - confident in herself and her abilities. Her abilities - (just let me pause a moment in reflection) our reception looked beautiful. Dramatic yet elegant with a modern chic touch. Mirella has done it yet again. If I can’t convince you, check out her work in Wedding Bells Magazine.”
