Brown & Ivory Winter Wedding @ Le Jardin

Here are a few pictures from a wedding we did this past January, @ Le Jardin, in Woodbridge, Ontario.  It was a freezing cold day, but we braved the weather to create this chocolate brown and ivory themed event.  It was filled with vendella roses, and chocolate brown ribbon.  The pew decor was vendella roses, with folded banana leaves and monkey grass, and the ceremony pieces had roses, hydrangea and greenery.  It was soft and romantic and really complimented the decor in the venue.  The decor was done by Vivian, of Vivian’s Decor and Designs.

Blue Hydrangea & Coral Roses @ Liberty Grand

Here are some professional pictures of Theresa and Kresimir’s wedding from last September.  They got married at The Liberty Grand, in the Renaissance room.  It was a gorgeous day and the soft blue, corals, butter yellows and ivory really added to the romantic look of this wedding.  The pictures were taken by Andrew Adams of Andrew Adams Photography, and I think they turned out really great!

The bouquet featured ivory lisianthus, blue delphinium, creme de la creme roses, and ivory hydrangea.  The stems were wrapped in ivory satin ribbon and finished off with a vintage inspired brooch.

The ceremony pieces were in glass urns and were also filled with creme de la creme roses, blue hydrangea, coral roses, ivory hydrangea, seeded eucalyptus and green hanging amaranthus.  They were then moved to the head table, to add some ambiance and dress it up a bit more.

This was a really beautiful wedding that I was so happy to be a part of, and I wish you both a lifetime of happiness!

Michael & Cheryl - Fabulous Contest Winners

Michael and Cheryl Athill were our contest winners from last year.  You may have seen the blog post and the wonderful entry he made to try and win this contest for his beautiful bride-to-be.  If not, here is the post so you can read the heartfelt and really genuine entry Michael made.  We were super impressed, and sooo happy with our decision!  He was definitely a deserving winner!  The prize was $1000 in free flowers from us, Rainflower Company, plus  Day of Co ordination ($1,000 value) from In Style Wedding Planners.  Here are a few pics from their very special day.  They all looked super gorg, and Cheryl’s dress was really stunning!

The bride, Cheryl had mango calla lilies in her bouquet, with snake grass loops and a collar of folded banana leaves around it.  It was really beautiful, and picked up the burnt orange colour of the bridesmaids dresses.  The girls had bouquets of vendella roses with monkey grass loops, and ivory satin ribbon.  Simple, clean and elegant.

The reception was held at The Paramount, in Vaughn.  The venue looked amazing and the lighting was phenomenal- The room definitely had major impact!  Here is their super sweet testimonial… I really loved working with these two- an amazing reminder of why I love my job and of making peoples’ dream weddings uniquely their own!

“Impeccable attention to detail, the ability to listen and understand her clients needs, and over all a beautiful person, Mirella is the absolute best.

Let me start off by stating that this is the groom writing this. I was so impressed by the detail and passion that Mirella placed into making our day OUR day - not a strangers interpretation of what our day should be - that I felt obligated to do a write up.

Mirella gets you what you want. Bottom line. My wife brought pictures and Mirella said no problem but I can do it better. That sums up her personality - confident in herself and her abilities. Her abilities - (just let me pause a moment in reflection) our reception looked beautiful. Dramatic yet elegant with a modern chic touch. Mirella has done it yet again. If I can’t convince you, check out her work in Wedding Bells Magazine.”

freedom and circus roses… and 14 Bridesmaids

My bride Katie was one of the loveliest people you will ever meet.  She was so super excited to marry her beau, Paul and have all of her friends and family share in their special day that she had a total of 14 bridesmaids! I don’t even think they all fit in this picture.  It was such a nice way of including all of the people that meant so much to her throughout her life, and it makes for great pictures!  The venue was Deer Creek Golf Course, in Ajax Ontario, which was really beautiful, both inside and out.  The flowers were stunning as we mixed circus which are yellow with an orange trim and freedom red roses together with bright satin red ribbon to match the sashes on their dresses.  We had a romantic candlescape on their head table, lined with red rose petals and created a cascading cake topper of freedom red roses and Paul’s aunt lovingly made them their cake.  The centrepieces were created with hydrangea, hanging amaranthus, red and circus roses and green kermit poms sitting inside a martini vase filled with crystals.  It was really pretty and exactly what the bride wanted.  Here are just a few casual pics, as I hope to get some professional ones soon to share.  It was such an honour to be a part of their day, and I wish them a lifetime of happiness together!
