OOOh how I love Orchids
Anna has style, and right off the bat I was excited to work on her wedding flowers. Orchids, Orchids and more orchids played a huge part in creating the elegant and sophisticated atmosphere. Her bouquet was a mix of soft pink and green cymbidium orchids, and the stems were wrapped with some ribbon from her gorgeous dress.

The Centrepieces were simple but stunning tall slender vases filled with green dendrobium orchids and curly willow with a submerged floralyte to add some extra ambiance once the lights were dimmed. Each vase had a delicate organza gold ribbon tied around it to tie in the chair covers.

The head table was dressed with submerged orchids and floating candles to create a candlescape of varying heights, combined with plenty of votives all worked together to create that warm glow which looked really beautiful. We rented out the vases for the head table to help keep costs down, while maximizing the impact. Again, we tied in the gold ribbon to keep everything in the colour scheme uniform.

Ashley & Mike
HRM Photography couldn’t have captured this day any better for Ashley & Mike. Even though it poured like mad, they were determined to get married outside, at the Kortright Centre (Which is breathtakingly beautiful for those of you looking for an outdoor venue for your ceremony. I remember when we were setting up the flowers attached to the chairs outside, we had to tip the chairs to remove the huge puddles of water that were sitting on them. Everyone had their umbrellas ready and their wedding turned out great… and they got amazing pictures to remember it forever!
Ashley’s bouquet consisted of purple lisianthus, mini green hydrangea, white freesia and sweet little white daisies. We finished it off with a few green monkey grass loops and a simple white satin ribbon.

Love this…
I was doing some research for a lil’ project I’m working on (more details about that a bit later) and literally stumbled upon this…. Just thought I’d share… Would you personalize your invitations like this? I think it’s super sweet and honestly makes me wish I was a guest attending this wedding! What do you think?

Feelin’ Fall
Amanda and I just clicked when we met… I knew exactly what she wanted for her wedding… Something very subtle, but still packed with flavor… Since her and her fiance Miguel were getting married at the Sutton Place Hotel, with the gorgeous skyline as the backdrop, we had to come up with something that was not going to take away from the gorgeous views. So, we came up with a delicate main centrepiece which was a take on the submerged orchids look, but our version didn’t have water. The dendrobium orchids were directly attached to chocolatey brown curly willow, sitting on shimmery brown stones inside the vase, with just a few delicate strands poking out of the top. On either side of this, were 2 monogrammed and ribbon wrapped vases with pillar candles, also sitting on the gorgeous brown stones. There was even a teeny, tiny shiny crystal on the monogram for each of the candle pieces. It was just sooo pretty! The ceremony pieces were lush and full of texture sitting on glass urns that had the same cinnamon colour ribbon wrapped around the neck. Such show stoppers! Amanda’s bouquet was a mix of calla lilies and stefanotis with little crystals in the centres, and the girls had Tiramisu spray roses with thin gold wire delicately wrapped overtop. Here are some of the pictures, but I can only imagine how spectacular everything must have looked when all the candles were lit… Congratulations Amanda & Miguel! It was really a lot of fun creating your vision and seeing it all come together for you! All my Best!
Check out the gorgeous cake from Roxy Cakes! It was stunning!
