Creative Wedding Table Numbers

Ok… I have to come clean here, and confess… I AM NOT A FAN OF PLAIN JANE TABLE NUMBERS!

june62009-3

You know the ones that the venues provide, usually done on plain paper and then they laminate them so they last forever unfortunately.  Well, I’m here to tell you that it doesn’t have to be that way… There are so many creative options to make your tables look fantastic as well as serve their purpose.  Here is a bit of inspiration to get you going.  If you’re stuck and not sure what to do, email me your wedding theme, an inspiration picture of your centrepiece and your wedding colours and I will help you come up with something unique, modern and creative! I’m sure you will agree that any one of these options look better than the first.

This first picture is taken from one of my lovely couples engagement photo shoot.  They took creative pictures holding a number that represented their table number all over the city… They did some on the subway, in the park, just different poses to capture the number and it was personalized and adorable!  One of my favs! These pictures are from Mississauga Convention Centre in Mississauga Ontario.

Jaclyn & Ben: The Old Mill: The Guildhall

All the fall colours came out to play for this Old Mill Wedding, between Jaclyn and Ben this past October.  I love all the vibrant shades of orange, red, yellow, green and purple playing against the rustic charm of the Guildhall.  The room completely came to life, and it was done by using a mix of red and orange mokara orchids and yellow oncidium orchids with curly willow in tall slender vases.  There was a perfect mix between colour and texture without being too overdone. Photos courtesy of Joda Weddings, visit their website for more pictures of this really pretty wedding.

The bridesmaids bouquets were a vibrant mix of orange roses, red mini gerbera daisies, green hypericum berries, purple carnations, and curly willow wrapped around the flowers.  The stems were wrapped in chocolate brown satin ribbon.

The Bride Bouquet consisted of orange roses, yellow freesia, purple carnations, red mokara orchids, red mini gerbera daisies, leucadendron, and green hypericum berries. It was really beautiful.

We also provided Jaclyn and Ben a money box to match the fall theme as a rental item.  If you need a custom money/card box for your wedding, let us know as we’re bringing in a few new different styles that can be purchased or rented as well.

Jennifer & John:: Graydon Hall Manor:: King Edward Hotel

Jennifer & John live in London, England.  We corresponded mostly through email and Skype, (gotta love technology) and then finalized all the details a couple of weeks before the wedding when Jennifer made the trip to T.O.

The ceremony took place in the lush garden of Graydon Hall Manor, which is one of my absolute favorite locations to tie the knot.    The venue for the reception was the spectacular Vanity Ballroom, in the King Edward Hotel in downtown Toronto. Jennifer graciously sent over these absolutely gorgeous pictures, taken by the talented Mark Anthony Studios.

What a gorgeous room.  The ceilings are breathtaking, and so grand….

Here are a few pictures that show a bit more detail of the travel theme that they incorporated into their wedding.  Both Jennifer and John love to travel, and so they gave gorgeous leather inscripted luggage tags as favours to each of the guests.  They cleaverly tucked the napkin inside each tag per place setting, adding another splash of colour on the tables.  There was also a picture of them on each table on vacation, and we labeled the city that they were in on the vase with the floating candle using vellum paper.  We also did their table numbers for them on vellum as well.  It was such an elegant effect, especially since we had 6 floating candles in total per table.

The centrepiece was a gorgeous happy mix of hydrangea, roses, spray roses lisianthus, tuberose, green goddess calla lilies, and green cymbidium orchids and crystals attached to curly willow.  For the finishing touch, we adorned it with a gorgeous brooch for that added sparkle.

Jennifer & John, this wedding was really special, and we were honoured to be a part of it!  We wish them both a lifetime of happiness together across the pond!

Amanda + Joel – The Old Mill, Toronto

blog-copy5

Amanda and Joel wanted something simple and elegant to work with their colour scheme and within The Guild Hall @ The Old Mill.  We mixed several elements to achieve this, including a hint of modern with a bit of vintage in tones of purples, lavender, pinks and silver to give them exactly the look they were going for.  Amanda’s bouquet was filled with garden roses, cymbidium orchids, freesia, spray roses and silvery dusty miller around the collar.  It was a perfect mix, and the colours just popped!  Special thanks to Tied photography for providing the images.

Vintage Inspired Wedding @Waterfront Conference and Banquet Centre in Hamilton

I met Sara through her sister, Cristina- A fabulous Cake designer here in Brampton.  When Sara came to discuss her ideas for her wedding, we knew it had to be elegant and timeless.  We did bouquets of ivory roses, freesia and bells of ireland with pearls.  The bouquet vases and centrepieces had a pearl trim around the green ribbon.  It was really pretty.  Here are some gorgeous shots of this wedding, taken by the talented Billy Mallari, of Pixel Blur Photography.  Check out his  blog for more gorgeous images!
