Jaclyn & Ben: The Old Mill: The Guildhall

All the fall colours came out to play for this Old Mill Wedding, between Jaclyn and Ben this past October.  I love all the vibrant shades of orange, red, yellow, green and purple playing against the rustic charm of the Guildhall.  The room completely came to life, and it was done by using a mix of red and orange mokara orchids and yellow oncidium orchids with curly willow in tall slender vases.  There was a perfect mix between colour and texture without being too overdone. Photos courtesy of Joda Weddings, visit their website for more pictures of this really pretty wedding.

The bridesmaids bouquets were a vibrant mix of orange roses, red mini gerbera daisies, green hypericum berries, purple carnations, and curly willow wrapped around the flowers.  The stems were wrapped in chocolate brown satin ribbon.

The Bride Bouquet consisted of orange roses, yellow freesia, purple carnations, red mokara orchids, red mini gerbera daisies, leucadendron, and green hypericum berries. It was really beautiful.

We also provided Jaclyn and Ben a money box to match the fall theme as a rental item.  If you need a custom money/card box for your wedding, let us know as we’re bringing in a few new different styles that can be purchased or rented as well.

Vanessa & Anthony:: The Manor, Kettleby

Here are some pictures of a wedding that we did this past October, at the Manor in Kettleby.  Vanessa and Anthony were married outside in the tent, as thankfully the rain held off for the ceremony.  The colours were champagne, ivory and black with a splash of red that came from Vanessa’s gorgeous bouquet and Anthony’s boutonniere, as well as some red roses on the head table and tucked inside the arrangements on the guest tables.  The elaborate centrepieces consisted of tall trumpet vases that we rented to them, with a stem of dendrobium orchid that we submerged inside the vase.  Sitting on top of the vase we did an arrangement of hydrangea, white tiger lilies, red roses, white delphinium, white snap dragons and white dendrobium orchids.  It really was quite beautiful and grand.  Photos courtesy of Studio Studios.

Outdoor Garden Wedding @ Spadina House

Robin & Richard are both really funny- we totally clicked and definitely shared some laughs planning the concept for their garden inspired wedding!  I have to say that their ceremony was really touching and you could really feel the love everyone present had for them.   They were so trusting, and gave me a lot of creative freedom!  This was definitely one of my favorites!  Check out the gorgeous pics that Lori from Lori Studios captured  at the absolutely STUNNING Spadina House.  Check out her blog for more eye candy of this super sweet wedding!

Brown & Ivory Winter Wedding @ Le Jardin

Here are a few pictures from a wedding we did this past January, @ Le Jardin, in Woodbridge, Ontario.  It was a freezing cold day, but we braved the weather to create this chocolate brown and ivory themed event.  It was filled with vendella roses, and chocolate brown ribbon.  The pew decor was vendella roses, with folded banana leaves and monkey grass, and the ceremony pieces had roses, hydrangea and greenery.  It was soft and romantic and really complimented the decor in the venue.  The decor was done by Vivian, of Vivian’s Decor and Designs.

Michael & Cheryl – Fabulous Contest Winners

Michael and Cheryl Athill were our contest winners from last year.  You may have seen the blog post and the wonderful entry he made to try and win this contest for his beautiful bride-to-be.  If not, here is the post so you can read the heartfelt and really genuine entry Michael made.  We were super impressed, and sooo happy with our decision!  He was definitely a deserving winner!  The prize was $1000 in free flowers from us, Rainflower Company, plus  Day of Co ordination ($1,000 value) from In Style Wedding Planners.  Here are a few pics from their very special day.  They all looked super gorg, and Cheryl’s dress was really stunning!

The bride, Cheryl had mango calla lilies in her bouquet, with snake grass loops and a collar of folded banana leaves around it.  It was really beautiful, and picked up the burnt orange colour of the bridesmaids dresses.  The girls had bouquets of vendella roses with monkey grass loops, and ivory satin ribbon.  Simple, clean and elegant.

The reception was held at The Paramount, in Vaughn.  The venue looked amazing and the lighting was phenomenal- The room definitely had major impact!  Here is their super sweet testimonial… I really loved working with these two- an amazing reminder of why I love my job and of making peoples’ dream weddings uniquely their own!

“Impeccable attention to detail, the ability to listen and understand her clients needs, and over all a beautiful person, Mirella is the absolute best.

Let me start off by stating that this is the groom writing this. I was so impressed by the detail and passion that Mirella placed into making our day OUR day – not a strangers interpretation of what our day should be – that I felt obligated to do a write up.

Mirella gets you what you want. Bottom line. My wife brought pictures and Mirella said no problem but I can do it better. That sums up her personality – confident in herself and her abilities. Her abilities – (just let me pause a moment in reflection) our reception looked beautiful. Dramatic yet elegant with a modern chic touch. Mirella has done it yet again. If I can’t convince you, check out her work in Wedding Bells Magazine.”
