Jaclyn & Ben: The Old Mill: The Guildhall

All the fall colours came out to play for this Old Mill Wedding, between Jaclyn and Ben this past October.  I love all the vibrant shades of orange, red, yellow, green and purple playing against the rustic charm of the Guildhall.  The room completely came to life, and it was done by using a mix of red and orange mokara orchids and yellow oncidium orchids with curly willow in tall slender vases.  There was a perfect mix between colour and texture without being too overdone. Photos courtesy of Joda Weddings, visit their website for more pictures of this really pretty wedding.

The bridesmaids bouquets were a vibrant mix of orange roses, red mini gerbera daisies, green hypericum berries, purple carnations, and curly willow wrapped around the flowers.  The stems were wrapped in chocolate brown satin ribbon.

The Bride Bouquet consisted of orange roses, yellow freesia, purple carnations, red mokara orchids, red mini gerbera daisies, leucadendron, and green hypericum berries. It was really beautiful.

We also provided Jaclyn and Ben a money box to match the fall theme as a rental item.  If you need a custom money/card box for your wedding, let us know as we’re bringing in a few new different styles that can be purchased or rented as well.

Cheryl & Trevor:: Blue Mountain

Cheryl and Trevor were married right on top of Blue Mountain.  The view was absolutely breathtaking, and the weather couldn’t have been better!  Look at those gorgeous views!  The ceremony flowers were kept simple, but still quite grand.  Large trumpet vases were filled with curly willow and orchids in fall shades of orange and red, and they bounced off the blue waters behind them. How sweet are the flower girl and ring boy!

These beautiful shots were taken by the absolutely fantastic Kat Siddall, and you can view more of her work on her website, Thru Kat’s Eye.

The bride bouquet consisted of the always popular mango calla lilies, and the bridesmaids bouquets were a mix of gerbera daisies, ivory and orange roses, red hypericum berries, and a bit of greenery.  The stems were wrapped with chocolate brown satin ribbon with a thinner soft gold ribbon wrapped over top done ballet slipper style, where we cross the ribbon similar to how you would tie up a ballet slipper. Just adorable!

Vanessa & Anthony:: The Manor, Kettleby

Here are some pictures of a wedding that we did this past October, at the Manor in Kettleby.  Vanessa and Anthony were married outside in the tent, as thankfully the rain held off for the ceremony.  The colours were champagne, ivory and black with a splash of red that came from Vanessa’s gorgeous bouquet and Anthony’s boutonniere, as well as some red roses on the head table and tucked inside the arrangements on the guest tables.  The elaborate centrepieces consisted of tall trumpet vases that we rented to them, with a stem of dendrobium orchid that we submerged inside the vase.  Sitting on top of the vase we did an arrangement of hydrangea, white tiger lilies, red roses, white delphinium, white snap dragons and white dendrobium orchids.  It really was quite beautiful and grand.  Photos courtesy of Studio Studios.

Kelly & Tony::Mississauga Convention Centre::

kelly-tony_-blog-header
Kelly & Tony were married this past August, @ The Mississauga Convention Centre.  We really clicked when we met, and I was super excited to be working on their late summer wedding. They were both easy going, and as long as it was in their colour scheme of fuschia, light pink and celadon green, we had minimal limitations- Words to any florists’ ears!

Kelly’s bouquet consisted of hot pink calla lilies, mini gerbera daisies, super green roses, soft pink spray roses, pink freesia and green hypericum berries.  There was a lil’ bling in there too…. It definitely had sparkle factor!

Kelly saw that we did lucky bamboo favours for a past bride, and she asked us if we would do them for her as well.  Of course, we happily obliged!  Who knew they could be so cute?!?! We can do them for you too!

Mixin’ it up…

For a wedding we did this past May, our bride wanted to see different bouquets for her maids- a la Sex & The City… Each one matched each dress and I have to say they really turned out beautiful!  Here are a few pics we were able to take before they were delivered.  I love this idea and really hope more bride’s are inspired to do something a little different…

But first- let’s ooh and ahh over these gorgeous peonies with yep you guessed it, soft vintage peach carnations… Her bouquet was just heavenly… And look at the flower girl miniature version of the bride below… Soo sweet!
